Angażował się Pan w sprawy, powiedziałabym, słuszne, lecz bardzo trudne. Jak Pan z perspektywy tylu lat ocenia ten okres? Pani pytanie skłania mnie do przypomnienia drugiej połowy lat 70. Zaraz po ukończeniu studiów w 1976 roku zaangażowałem się w pomoc represjonowanym robotnikom, najpierw z Ursusa, a potem także z Radomia. Organizowałem akcje pomocy materialnej, prawnej i lekarskiej. Poprzedzała ona utworzenie Komitetu Obrony Robotników, który powstał we wrześniu tego roku.

With a Polish historian and medievalist – the Director of the Royal castle in Warsaw – PhD Wojciech FałKoWsKi, we talked about his amazing, fascinating work, as well as his huge engagement in arts and culture. he considers the Royal castle a symbol of Poland and Polish people. Professor, your beginnings, right after finishing university, were very interesting. You’ve engaged yourself in righteous, in my opinion, yet very difficult matters. Looking back now, what’s your perspective on these times? Your question makes me go back in time to the 70’. Right after getting my degree in 1976, I began helping repressed workers – first from Ursus, later also from Radom. I’ve organised a fundraiser meant to collect material, as well as medical and legal help. The event preceded the foundation of Workers’ Defence Committee, which came to be in September of the same year.
