Od 10 października na Zamku Królewskim w Warszawie można podziwiać obrazy Marcella Bacciarellego i Bartłomieja Strobla, stroje haute couture Yves’a Saint Laurenta i tęczowe kostiumy Thierry’ego Muglera, a także porcelanowe figurki, miecze ceremonialne i pasy kontuszowe. Celem podstawowym wystawy jest rozszyfrowanie znaczeń zawartych w dziełach sztuki, znajdujących się w zamkowych wnętrzach. Rozszerzenie perspektywy czasowej od XVI wieku aż po współczesność w niesza blonowy sposób pozwoli zwrócić uwagę na procesualność zmian w obrębie kultury europejskiej oraz wskaże metamorfozy i transgresje wybranych na wystawę motywów ikonograficznych – mówi Monika Przypkowska, kuratorka wystawy.

S ince October 16th, guests of the Royal Castle in  Warsaw can marvel at paintings by Marcello Bacciarelli and Bartholomeus Strobel, along with haute  couture garments by Yves Saint Laurent and the colo urful costumes by Thierry Mugler, as well as porcelain  figures, ceremonial swords and Kontusz sashes.  The main mission of the exhibition is to decode  the symbolism behind the art pieces found inside  the castle. Stretching out the perception of time  between 16th century and current day will allow for  an unconventional way of noticing the procedurality  of changes which took place in Europe, and pinpoint  the metaphors and transgressions pictured in the  iconographic pieces chosen for the exhibition. – said  Monika Przypikowska, the show’s curator.  The exhibition consists of a collection of about  250 various pieces from different eras – from the 16th  century, up to modern times.
